Julie Meunier Pepperman began her career as a middle school science teacher in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. She has continued her teaching career in Mobile, Alabama and Knoxville, Tennessee. In addition to her teaching duties, she also serves as a mentor teacher, a science standards trainer for the state of Tennessee Department of Education, a presenter for the Knox County Schools Quality Teaching Institute, and is an AVID trained educator.
In 2008, Ms. Pepperman received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Education.
A New Orleans native transplanted to Knoxville, Ms. Pepperman received her BA in Education and her master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of New Orleans.
