The NGSS Network States and Partners support the creation of resources to help educators and administrators as they plan and develop systems of implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards. See below for links to download these materials. These resources are generally provided under a Creative Commons Attribution License. Under this license, with proper attribution, educators may use or adapt materials. See specific resources for any exceptions for licensing. Also note that these resources are intended as drafts that will continually be improved as the NGSS Network receives feedback on their effectiveness.

The National Research Council's Framework provides the sound, evidence-based foundation for the NGSS by drawing on current scientific research and identifies the science all K–12 students should know.

The Accelerated Model Course Pathways document offers guidance to schools and districts seeking to organize NGSS performance expectations into a compressed time frame.

"Bundles" are groups of standards arranged together to create the endpoints for units of instruction. Bundling is just one step in a curriculum development process; many other steps are required to create instructional materials designed for the NGSS.

Teachers across the disciplines have collaborated to write sample tasks, which are the result of a vision of integrating science, engineering, and mathematics for classroom use.

The criteria described here are intended to be a useful resource for anyone developing and/or evaluating statewide summative assessments aligned to their Framework-based three-dimensional science standards.

This professional learning resource provides a series of 10 modules designed to guide and support leaders to provide professional learning that builds the capacity of educators and education leaders to use the EQuIP Rubric for Science, Version 3.0.

The EQuIP Rubric for Science provides criteria by which to measure the degree to which lessons and units are designed for the NGSS.

NGSS Evidence Statements provide educators with additional detail on what students should know and be able to do. These are statements of observable and measureable components that, if met, will satisfy NGSS performance expectations.

These documents provide example storylines for the DCI arrangements of the standards.
